Wiggins is out. Froome is in. Cavendish is raring to go. And we’ve confirmed our line up for the 2014 Tour de France, too. To celebrate “Le Tour” passing through Harrogate, Benfield Skoda has announced a host of events and activities as part of the Grand Depart celebrations.
As part of Skoda’s sponsorship of the world’s leading bike race, the Knaresborough Road dealership will be pulling out all the stops to make it a weekend to remember.
The event kicks off with a Q&A featuring double Olympic gold medallist and five-time World Champion Ed Clancy, who will be joined by commentator and former Olympic triple jump champion Jonathan Edwards on the eve of the Grand Depart.
On the Sunday, stage 2 of the race will pass Benfield Skoda, Knaresborough Road, Harrogate on the journey from York to Sheffield. And in honour of the occasion, Skoda UK will be showcasing Limited Edition cars as well as bedecking the dealership with plasma TVs and a whole range of activities to help build the race-day party atmosphere.
In addition to a very special Skoda cycle display and a range of official Tour merchandise, there will also be a high tech cycle simulator alongside one of Britain’s largest Scalextric sets for guests to get involved with.
